Kanak Durga Mandir

Kanak Durga Mandir, an ancient temple reconstructed in 1348, is located at Chikligarh near Midnapore in West Bengal. Devi Kanak Durga, a three-eyed and four-armed personification goddess Parvati, is the main deity of this temple. Human sacrifices were offered earlier. Today, goats and buffaloes are sacrificed on navami, or the ninth day of the lunar month.
