Salanpur




Salanpur, also known as Mayer, is a town located at the north-western tip of Bardhaman District. It borders with Jharkand State. The place is one of the taluk headquarters of the district.

Salanpur is famous for the National Refractories. The main attractions here are Kalyaneswari Temple, the Mithon Dam and its adjacent expensive reservoir. The roads of Salanpur link with the panchayat areas, other villages and towns.
