Berhampore

Berhampore, 11 km south of Murshidabad and 200 km from Kolkata, is famous for silk production. Khagra, an old bazaar area of Berhampore, holds some of the most dilapidated mansions which had been once used by European traders.

The main attractions of Berhampore are Hazardurai Palace, Imambara, Jafarganj, Deorhi, Kat Gola, Katra Mosque, Motijheel Palace, and Khus Bagh. Berhampore is linked with Kolkata by rail and has regular bus services to neighboring places.
