Pakaur




Pakaur, sometimes spelt as Pakur, is the headquarters of Pakaur District, Jharkhand. Sahibganj is around 80 km north of Pakaur.

Siddhu-Kanhu Park is the major attraction. Renowned religious centers are Nityakali Mandir, Shiv Sheetla Mandir, Mahakal Shakti Pith and Diwan-e-Pir. Pakaur chips are famous in the home state and western parts of Bengal.

Nearest airport is at Ranchi. Pakaur Railway Station is within the town limits. Pakaur Bus Station has services within and outside the state.
