Rishap




Rishap is a tourist village located near Lava, in Darjeeling District of West Bengal. Situated at an elevation of about 8500 ft, it is about 32 km from Kalimpong. Rishap offers exciting views of Mt Kanchanjunga and some other mountain peaks of India and Nepal.

Rishap literally means 'mountain peak and tree'. This small village is at the tri-junction of Sikkim, West Bengal and Bhutan. One can enjoy the finest view of forest in Rishap. Rishap can be reached by Jeep or by a 3 km trek which starts from Lava.
