Azimganj




Azimganj is an old township located 14 km away from Baharampur, on the banks of river Bhagirathi in Murshidabad District. There is a famous Jain temple devoted to Sri Chintamani Parshwanatha Bhagwan. In addition to this, many other Jain temples are also found there. This place can be accessed through Jiaganj, another important place situated 9 km from Baharampur where also one can see many Jain idols. Near Azimganj lies the magnificent Baranagar temple complex built by Rani Bhabani.

The nearest railway station is at Baharampur.
