Pataspur, also known by the name Kasba Pataspur, is a
taluk headquarters town of
West Bengal’s
Midnapore District. It is situated about 106 km from
Howrah and 110 km from the state capital,
Kolkata. The surrounding places are Belda and Narayangarh in the west,
Sabang in the north,
Argoal in the east and Kharai Kotbar in the south.
Syamaleswar Temple at Dantan and Egra are the two tourist spots nearby.
Contai Road Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
