State Archaeological Museum




State Archaeological Museum is situated at Behala, a suburb of Kolkata, in South 24 Parganas District. The museum exhibits prehistoric items, stone artifacts, pottery, antiquities, metal ivory, coins and ancient manuscripts.

Guide services are provided to the visitors. Informative lectures are conducted occasionally. Photography is allowed inside on obtaining permission from the director.

State Archaeological Museum is open from 12:00 to 16:00 hrs on all days except Sunday and public holidays.
