The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India




Established in 1971, The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) is a consortium of five motor sports clubs namely Madras Motor Sports Club, Bangalore Motor Sports Club (now known as Karnataka Motor Sports Club), Coimbatore Auto Sports Club, Indian Automotive Racing Club Ltd and Calcutta Motor Sports Club. The FMSCI operates from Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. FMSCI is affiliated to the Federation Internationale De L’ Automobile (FIA) and Federation International Motocycliste (FIM), both having their headquarters in Switzerland. It is the only national authority entrusted with the powers to promote and regulate motor sporting activities in India. The FMSCI conducts many national and international automotive championships. It is controlled by a council of 8 members.
