Kolkata General Post Office

Kolkata General Post Office (GPO) is located in the BBD Bag area, Kolkata. The entire postal system of Kolkata is under the control of this GPO. It started functioning in 1864. Mr Walter Granville was the designer of the post office building.

The General Post Office offers facilities such as speed post, registered post, e-post, e-bill post, parcel and insurance. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at Dum Dum is the nearest airport. The nearest railway stations are Howrah Railway Station and Sealdah Railway Station.
