Jaguar



Jaguar (Panthera onca) is similar to Leopard in appearance, however, the Jaguar can be identified by the presence of small dots or irregular shapes within the larger rosette markings, a more stocky and muscular body and a shorter tail.

The spots on its head, legs and underside are solid black. It inhabits wet lowland habitats, swampy savannas or tropical rain forests. The average life span is about 12 to 16 years.
