Bengal Rowing Club



The Bengal Rowing Club, formerly Marwari Rowing Club, was started in Kolkata in 1929 to promote rowing. Affiliated to the Amateur Rowing Association of the East (ARAE) and to the Far East Amateur Rowing Association (FEARA), the club provides training in rowing for youngsters and organizes inter-collegiate regattas. Its boathouse has punt boats, the tub pair, the dinghy, the junior fours, the whiffs, the sculls (junior and senior), the pairs (junior and senior) and the kayaks.

Besides rowing, there are facilities for enjoying other sports such as snooker and billiards, card games, swimming, table tennis, badminton and darts. The kitchen serves continental to south Indian cuisines. The club arranges cultural programs and parties on festival occasions.
