Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary




Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Senchal of Darjeeling District, West Bengal.

It occupies an area of about 38 sq km around the Tiger Hill. Set up in 1915, this sanctuary is the home of barking deer, wild pigs, Himalayan black bear, leopards, jungle cats, common rhesus monkeys, Assamese macaque and Himalayan flying squirrels. Senchal Lake is the nearby attraction.

The sanctuary is about 10 km south-east of Darjeeling.
