Jangipur is a sub-divisional town located in the northern part of
Murshidabad District. This place is well connected by road through NH 34. Main attractions are Farakka river barrage, Nimtita Zamindari palace, and snake garden. Jangipur also houses the tombs of the Pir Rejjak Shah and Jamal Khan. There are many temples and other archeological ruins.
