Jagatballabhpur is a taluk headquarters town of Howrah District and is located 3 km to the east of Mansuka. Howrah - the district headquarters - is 24 km to its south-east. Jhinga to the north, Mahmudpur to the east and Bargachia to the south are other nearby towns. It is one of the main centers that produce different types of pressed – nose dolls.

Howrah Bridge, Madangopaljiu Temple at Mellak, Mornington Fort, Belur Mutt and Indian Botanic Garden are some of the prime attractions in the district.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Howrah Railway Station are the convenient access points.
