Farakka

Farakka is a town in Murshidabad District in West Bengal. It is situated 98 km north-west of Berhampore and 87 km north-west of Murshidabad.

Farakka Barrage and Farakka Thermal Power Plant, located on the banks of the Ganges River by the West Bank of Feeder Canal, are the major landmarks.

Gopalpur and Tildanga are among the surrounding places.
