Dharmaraj Temple

Dharmaraj Temple is located at Baharu village in South 24 Parganas District. Here the deity is known as Dharmaraj and is enshrined in an ordinary tile-roofed mud hut. The idol is peculiar, it is that of a big-built male person, with a fearful look and an impressive moustache. The body is deep blue in color and the hood of a snake is seen spread over his head. Special pujas are done here on full moon day (Baisakhi Buddha Poornima).
