Chaitanyadev Temple is located at Guptipara
in Hooghly District
of West Bengal
. The temple was built by Biseswar Rai in 17th century, during the reign of Akbar
. Constructed in Bengali style of architecture, the temple faces east and has a door in the west. It contains the images of Chaitanya
and Nityanand, the two great Vaishnava preachers of Bengal. The roof is made in Jor-Bangla architectural style with two iron rods representing spires.
