Nannur




Nannur village is located in Birbhum District of West Bengal. It was the birth place of Chandids, the great Vaishnava poet. Nannur lies about 39 km east of Siuri and 15 km from Bolpur.

Major point of attraction is the famous Bansuli (Bishalakshmi) Temple. Many gold coins of Gupta age were discovered during excavations at the various places in the village.

The nearest railway station is at Bolpur, which is 160 km from Howrah.
