Sriniketan




Sriniketan, 3 km from Shantiniketan, is a rural reconstruction center established in 1992. It focuses on agriculture, adult education, village welfare, cottage industries and handicrafts. The center offers traditional handicrafts such as batik (on leather, cloth and silk), pottery, weaving kantha embroidery and dokra tribal handicrafts.

There is also an agricultural college. The Kala Bhavana, Rabindra Bhavana, Uttarayan Gardens and the Deer Park are major attractions.
