Magra, also spelled Mugra, is on National Highway 2 in West Bengal’s Hooghly District. This taluk headquarters town is situated about 21 km north-east of Arambagh. Tarakeshwar to the south-west and Champadanga to the south are the other surrounding places. Water vessels used to keep water cool are manufactured on a large scale here. Chandannagar, Brindabanchandra Temple, Chaitanyadev Temple, Krishna Chandra Temple, Ramachandra Temple, Bandel Church, Tarakeshwar Temple and Nandadulal Mandir are some of the noteworthy sites around Magra. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Magra Railway Station are the nearest access points.
