Buxa Duar




Buxa Duar, also called as Baksa Duar, is one of the oldest towns in Jalpaiguri District of West Bengal. It lies close to India's border with Bhutan. The town is situated 24 km from Alipurduar and 180 km from Siliguri. Jayanti, a picnic spot on the banks of Jayanti River, is 5 km south. Around 60 km south-west of this town is Madarihat. Other nearby towns include Rangamati, Kalchini and Rajabhat Khawa. Buxa National Park and Sera Jhe monastery are the major points of attraction. The nearest access points are Coochbehar Airport and Kalchini Railway Station.
