Panagarh is one of the main towns in
Bardhaman District. It is the place where the largest Air Force installation in the eastern region is located. The Indian Air Force station is also here.
The main attraction is the 12th century Panagarh Fort. Randiha is a nearby picnic spot. The
National Highway 2 at Panagarh links the Panagarh-Mourigram road. Panagarh railway station connects the town with major cities and towns of the state.
