Kaksa

Kaksa is a taluk headquarters town in Bardhaman District of West Bengal. It is around 16 km east of Durgapur and 4 km north-west of Panagarh.

Kaksa is only a few kilometers away from the National Highway 2. It is bounded by Malandighi and Basudha in the north and Mankar in the east.

At Kaksa, one can see old Hindu images carved in black basalt in the neighboring tanks, and remains of the tiny forts. Panagarh Fort is another interesting spot nearby.
