Krishnaganj




Krishnaganj is a taluk headquarters town, in Nadia District of West Bengal. The town lies near the eastern banks of the Churni River, one of the major river basins in the southern part of West Bengal. Krishnanagar, the district headquarters, is around 17 km to its west. Mahat Pura, Bagula, Bhaluka and Belpukur are other towns in the neighborhood. The religious spots of Shantipur and Navadvipa are also located nearby.

Sonargouranga temple (the temple with the golden statue of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu), Rajbari (Krishnanagar Palace), Chandroday Temple, Roman Catholic Church and Saligram are some other popular tourist attractions accessible from here.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Krishnanagar City Junction Railway Station are the nearest access points.
