Shandeswara Temple is located at
Chinsurah in
Hooghly District. The temple is dedicated to
Lord Shiva and the deity is in the form of
Shivling.
This is an ancient temple, which dates back to the 16th century and was renovated many times. There are two drums donated by a Dutch commissioner in the temple premises. Small temples surround the main temple.
