Uluberiya

Uluberiya, also spelt Uluberia, is a taluk headquarters of Howrah District, about 32 km southwest of Kolkata. It is the place where cultural programs are regularly held. The town lies near the western banks of the Hooghly. Banitanala, Pujali and Bahira are nearby locations.

Short trips to destinations such as Mahishrekha, Shashati, a quiet picnic spot near the banks of the Rupnarayan and Anand Niketan Kirtishala can be arranged from Uluberiya. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Ulubaria Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.
