Madan-Mohan temple




The Madan-Mohan temple is located about 5 km from Bishnupur in Bankura District. Believed to have been built in 1694 by Durjan Singh, the façade of the temple is decorated with terracotta, which depicts the battle of Kurukshetra. Constructed in the ekaratna style, Madan-Mohan temple has beautiful carvings on the walls featuring scenes from the Puranas, the Ramayana, and Mahabharat.
