Krishna Chandra Temple




Krishna Chandra Temple is a famous shrine situated at Guptipara Village in Hooghly District. It is believed that this temple was built during the period of Nawab Ali Vardi Khan by Dandi Madhusudan.

The temple has beautiful idols of Krishna and Radha. The festivals like Ras, Dol, Rath and Ulta-rath are celebrated with much pomp and merriment. Krishna Chandra Temple is also noted for a special puja known as Barwari puja.

The nearest airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at Kolkata.
