The idol is carried temporarily to the Madan Mohan Temple on Madan Chaturdashi and Dol Purnima. Hence, the idol is known as Movable Baneswar. A big pond within the temple complex houses a large number of tortoises. A week long mela held here during Shiva Chaturdashi draws people from far and near.
