Pursura




The taluk headquarters town of Pursura lies just to the north-west of Champadanga, in Hooghly District of West Bengal. Damodar River flows in its eastern side. Pursura is situated around 10 km south-west of Tarakeshwar, a town famous for its Tarakeshwar Temple. Haripal to the south-east, Gopinagar to the north-east and Arambagh to the north-west are the nearby towns.

Chandannagar Church, St Louis Church, Bandel Church, Tarakeshwar Temple, Jangipara, Serampore, Nandadulal Mandir, Imambara, Shandeswara Temple, Yeats Tomb, Mahisasurmardini Temple, St Olave’s Church, Buro-Bibi Mosque and Bandemataram House are the tourist options in the neighborhood.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Kamarkundu Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station respectively.
