Chittaranjan

Located at a distance of 135 km from Bardhaman District, Chittaranjan is a famous industrial town renowned for its locomotive works. It lies about 25 km from Asansol and 73 km from Durgapur. India's largest locomotive factory, producing diesel and electric locomotives is also situated there.

Train services are from Howrah through Durgapur and Asansol. Lodging facilities are available in railway guest houses.
