Taluka



Taluka, a picturesque village, is situated at an elevation of 1,800 m and is 12 km from Sankri in Uttarkashi District of Uttaranchal. The village offers panoramic views of the Supin Valley, terraced farms and miles of flower beds. It is surrounded by Pine and Deodar forests. Taluka also has a huge pond. Nearby destinations are Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, Har-Ki-Doon Valley, Borasu Pass, Datmir Village (3 km) and Dehradun. The people of Taluka worship Duryodhana, the anti-hero of the Mahabharat. The nearest airport and railway station are at Dehradun. It is well connected by road with Dehradun and Uttarkashi.
