Pindar Valley, situated at an altitude of about 1160 m, is in
Chamoli District of
Uttaranchal. It has been chosen as the target area to start with for Science and Technology intervention in agricultural development in the Uttaranchal hills. The valley is divided into three development blocks, Deval, Narainbagar and
Tharali. The
Pindari Glacier is located in the Pindar Valley. To the left of the Pindar Valley, lies the
Kafni Glacier, below the famous peak of Nandakot.
