Phata




Phata is a rustic region in Rudraprayag District of Uttaranchal. Located on the state highway connecting Baramwari and Sonprayag, this scenic place is away from the hectic city life and is an ideal place for tourists.

Ukhimath, a major Hindu pilgrim site famous as the winter seat of Lord Kedarnath, is nearby. Triyuginarayan, Gaurikund, Kalimath, Raun and Ransi are locations one can visit. The Mandakini River, an important tributary of the Ganges, flows very close to this village.

Phata is well connected by road with Ukhimath and Rudraprayag. Rishikesh Railway Station and Jolly Grant Airport are the nearest major railway station and airport.
