Mayawati / Mayabati is a charming village located at the foothills of the Himalayas, in Champawat District, Uttaranchal. It is within 7 km from Lohaghat.

The word 'Mayawati' is derived from 'Maipet', which means the holy place of the mother.

Major attraction here is the Mayawati Ashram (Advaita Ashram). This ashram is a favourite haunt of spiritualists from all over the world. It is situated in the middle of a tea estate, at an altitude of around 2000 m above the sea level. Boarding and lodging is available for visitors at the ashram, on request. There is also a library and a small museum at Mayawati.

Mayawati is also a famous hunting destination. A variety of wild animals including tigers are seen there.

The nearest railway station is Tanakpur Railway Station(100 km).
