Shantikunj is a village situated near Haridwar in Uttranchal. It lies at a distance of 6 km from Haridwar Railway Station on Rishikesh Road in Saptasarovar area. This picturesque village is a serene, beautiful location, in the shadow of the Himalayas in the lap of Holy Ganga. Today it is a famous pilgrim center noted for an ashram. The nearby attraction is the Brahmavarchas Research Institute where spiritual disciplines such as yoga, meditation, various postures, deep breathing exercises, pranayamam are practised.
