Vishwanath Temple Uttarkashi




Located at a distance of 149 km from Rishikesh, Vishwanath temple is an ancient shrine in Uttarkashi. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva, who is worshipped here along with Shakti. According to an inscription, found near the 26-feet-high trident projecting from this temple, the temple was built by a warrior-king of Garhwal, Gyaneshwar.
