Dharamghar




Situated 9 km from Chaukori, Dharamghar is famous for the abode of Sarla Behn, an ardent follower of Gandhiji. From her abode, Himdarshan Kutir, one can have a splendid view of the Himalayan peaks. The Asiatic black bear populations are present in and around the forested area of Dharamghar.

Chaukori is well connected by road with Almora (125 km), Nainital (183 km), Bageshwar (45 km) and Pithoragarh (112 km).
