Damar is a small settlement in Rudraprayag District of Uttaranchal. It is situated near the Tilwara and Baramwari. Ukhimath, a major Hindu pilgrim site famous as the winter seat of Lord Kedarnath, is situated nearby.

Some of the nearby places are Khalyan, Kyunja, Jakholi, Bhatwari and Guptkashi. Mandakini River, an important tributary of the River Ganges, flows close to this village. Rudraprayag is the nearest major town.

Damar is well connected by road with Rudraprayag and Ukhimath. Rishikesh Railway Stationis the nearest major railway station. Jolly Grant Airport serves this area.
