Chamba is a township lying high at an altitude of 1676 m, offering a splendid view of the snow-capped Himalayas and the serene Bhagirathi valley. The road from here bifurcates for Mussoorie, New Tehri and Rishikesh. Chamba is 56 km from Mussourie, 31 km from Dhanolti and 48 km from Narendra Nagar on the road to Gangotri.

The Chamba- Mussoorie fruit belt is also famous for its delicious apples. It is filled with apple orchards and rows of rhododendron flower beds. In spring Chamba wears a colorful look, glowing in the radiance of the red and golden colored apples. Chamba is fast changing into the ideal interlude.
