Nanda Devi Temple




Nanda Devi is an ancient stone temple of the 18th century situated at Almora, Uttaranchal. Nanda Devi was the patron goddess of the Chand rajas of Almora. The temple can also be reached through the Lalal Bazaar situated there. The temple holds a fair in the month of September, which features a huge procession. Nanda Devi temple is the only relic, that is existing today, from the days of the Chand rajas.
