Varanasi Central Bus Station




Varanasi Central Bus Station is located on Sher Shah Suri Marg, in the cantonment area. It is at the junction of three National Highways, NH 2 (Kolkata-Delhi route), NH 7 (Kolkata-Kanyakumari route) and NH 29 (Kolkata-Gorakhpur route). Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation operates deluxe services to Azamgarh and Sanauli. Buses frequently ply from Varanasi to Delhi, Jabalpur, Gaya, Jhansi, Allahabad, Etawah, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Lucknow and Bareilly.

City buses operate from the private bus stand situated near the Varanasi Junction Railway Station. Varanasi City Railway Station is a few minutes walk from the bus station.

The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Durga Kund, and temples of Annapurna and Kal Bhairava are a few among the major places of worship.

Taj Ganges, Clarks Varanasi, Varanasi Ashok and De Paris offer excellent and comfort accommodation near the bus station.

Taxis, tempo-rickshaws and auto-rickshaws are available for local travel.
