Lakhnaur




Lakhnaur, on the Ambala-Barola Road in Ambala District, is a village of historical significance. It is 12 km from Ambala.

This place was the ancestral home of Gujari, the mother of Guru Gobind Singh. Guruji spent his childhood here. The Muslim clerics such as Pir Bhikhan Shah and Pir Arif Din met the young Guru at this place.

Popular of the landmark is Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib, which still houses the articles used by Guru Gobind Singh and his family. Gujari’s well, sarovar and Baoli are the other attractions.
