Siddhaur




Siddhaur is a village in Bara-Banki District of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier known as Siddhpura, it is situated around 50 km south-east of Barabanki, the district headquarters.

It enshrines the famous Siddheshwar Mahadev temple, and a large fair is conducted here on the occasion of Shivratri. The mausoleum of Sufi Saint Qazi Qutub is also located here. Fairs are held here during Id-ul-Fitar and Id-uz-Zuha.

The surrounding places include Ramsanehighat to the north-east, Bhelwa to the west and Sabeha to the south-east. National Highway 28 passes through Siddhaur. The nearest airport is Amausi Airport and the nearest railhead is Barabanki Railway Station.
