Rosa




Rosa is a town in Shahjahanpur District, halfway between Bareilly and Sitapur. This town is closely associated with Lord Barron, who was a European merchant and an enthusiastic hunter. He founded Nainital in the year 1841 as an ultimate summer destination. Rosa is also famous for a large sugar refinery and rum distillery established by Europeans.

The distance between Rosa and the district headquarters of Shahjahanpur is just 4 km. This town, on the state highway, is well linked with major destinations. Roza Junction Railway Station is a major rail junction, where Bareilly-Sitapur line and Bareilly-Lucknow line via Hardoi meet. Nearest airport is Amausi Airport.
