Radhakund

Located about 5 km north of Govardhan and 26 km west of Mathura is the Radhakund, a large lake.

This sacred lake is the spot where Lord Krishna is said to have killed Arishta - the bull demon. Every year on the 8th day of the dark half of the month of Kartik (October/November), a large fair is held. Kusuma Sarovara, known for its inspiring architecture, is about 2 km from this lake.
