Mataundh is a prominent town in Banda District. It borders Mahoba District and Hamirpur District. Located on the National Highway 76, it is situated midway between Kabrai and Khairar.

Kairada is a nearby place of interest, which is famous for Four Stone Pillars and a tank built from special stones.
