Manasthamba

Manasthamba is a free standing stone pillar adorning a Jain temple. It features some fine specimen of Jain art. The carvings on it contain the figures borrowed from Jain mythology. These figures usually are those of the deities and sprits belonging to the religion. This pillar is constructed from a single stone and is often of a tall dimension. All the major Jain temples in India feature a Manasthamba.
