Bhairavi

Bhairavi is one among the eight Ambas (Ashtambika) in Hinduism. She is a fierce and terrifying aspect of Parvati, and is the consort of Bhairava, the angry Shiva. She is sometimes identified with Bhadrakali.

Bhairavi represents the principle of destruction and is manifested when the body declines and decays. Destruction, need not always be looked upon as negative, since creation cannot continue without it.
